Try These Easy Stop Snoring Exercises

Many options are available to the snorer.  Over the counter drops and spray along with a simple humidifier in the bedroom made help the problem.  But sometimes snoring is caused by more serious breathing difficulties, some of which can be helped with some simple stop snoring exercises.  Let’s take a look at what we mean by that.

The main goal of stop snoring exercises is to improve how your lungs function.  By doing these exercises you will also help yourself with breathing as well.  Stronger lungs reduce the incidence of choking, gasping or wheezing while asleep and improve free breathing through the nose.  When you have less lung capacity you’re more likely to be breathing through your mouth in order to get enough air and can be making all those other sounds as well.  Easy exercises to prevent snoring including stretching and breathing, which are most effective right before bed.

To get started with your snoring exercises, stand with your feet shoulder width apart and take a few very deep breaths, exhaling very slowly. Shrug the shoulders and slowly roll the head from one side to another.   Then reach way above your head with both hands as you inhale, and then exhale as you lower your hands back down to your sides.  Repeat this method while feeling your lungs and chest expand.  Problems may arise the first few evenings after you complete the stop snoring exercises, but continuing them ensures that your lungs will eventually breathe more deeply.   You can add some other simple stretching and breathing exercises as well; just make sure you’re not straining yourself and aren’t being overactive especially right before bed.  The exercises to help you stop snoring actually stretch your muscles and help your lungs take in more air without as much work.  When you do back-stretching exercises, you’ll find they can promote sleep by relaxing you and preventing tension in your upper body.   If you don’t have tension in your neck your jaw probably won’t open up and you won’t breath through your mouth.  For more structure in your stop snoring exercises, yoga and tai chi routines focus on simple stretching and breathing exercises that anyone, regardless of fitness level, can usually accomplish.
